AliExpress has an older SteadyAPI announcement and no how-to. Product search is a documented endpoint. This guide shows the query, the filters the API actually accepts, and the fields each listing returns.

👉 To access this endpoint, you must obtain an API key: https://steadyapi.com/register

Authentication

Every call uses a Bearer token from your SteadyAPI dashboard.

Documentation:
https://docs.steadyapi.com/#authenticating-requests

headers = {
  'Authorization': 'Bearer YOUR_API_KEY'
}

Search products

Endpoint: GET /v1/aliexpress/search

Documentation:
https://docs.steadyapi.com/#aliexpress-GETapi-v1-aliexpress-search

Request

GET https://api.steadyapi.com/v1/aliexpress/search?search=wireless%20earbuds&sort=orders_desc&page=1
Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY

Parameters

  • search — required search term (example: wireless earbuds)
  • categoryId — optional category id
  • minPrice — optional minimum price
  • maxPrice — optional maximum price, greater than or equal to minPrice
  • shipFromCountry — optional 2-letter country code
  • freeShipping — optional boolean
  • fourStarsAndUp — optional boolean
  • sort — optional: best_match (default), price_asc, price_desc, or orders_desc
  • page — optional page number (default 1)
  • lang — optional language code (default en_US)

Python

import requests

url = "https://api.steadyapi.com/v1/aliexpress/search"
headers = {"Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"}
params = {
    "search": "wireless earbuds",
    "sort": "orders_desc",
    "fourStarsAndUp": True,
    "page": 1,
    "lang": "en_US",
}

response = requests.get(url, headers=headers, params=params)
response.raise_for_status()
products = response.json().get("body", [])

for product in products[:5]:
    print(product.get("product_id"), product.get("title"), product.get("rating"), product.get("sold"))

Response fields

meta.has_more is true when the page returned about 60 listings. Each item in body includes:

  • product_id — id for the product detail endpoint
  • title — listing title
  • prices — price object from the listing
  • rating — star rating
  • sold — sales text, such as an orders count
  • image — main image URL
  • images — extra image URLs
  • url — AliExpress item URL
  • selling_points — selling-point list from the listing

Practical use

Sort with orders_desc when you want the listings with the most orders. Raise page while meta.has_more is true. Product specs are a separate call, GET /v1/aliexpress/product/detail, with the product_id from search.
