Matches, clubs, and lineups

Football API

Live and upcoming matches, then the lineup and the club. Pass a date as YYYYMMDD, then a match id. Match prices are a read, not a place to bet.

Capabilities

Matches, clubs, and players

For live boards and club pages. Pass a date as YYYYMMDD, then a match id. Match prices are a read, not a bet.

What is on now

Live matches, upcoming matches, and matches for a date are three ways in. The date is YYYYMMDD. See examples

Search

Search returns players and clubs that match the name, with the ids the other calls expect.

One match

The match, its lineup, its events, its stats, the preview, and the head-to-head are separate calls on the same match id.

The club

A club comes back with its competition, its ground, and its coach. The squad is the next call. See examples

The player

A player call is the profile. Summary, defensive, offensive, passing, and goals are further splits.

Transfers and prices

Transfers are their own call. One match call returns the prices attached to that match. You can read them. You cannot place a bet here.

How a call is made

The path

The key goes in the Authorization header as a bearer token. The live list is the way in.

What is on

GET /api/v1/football/matches-live and /api/v1/football/matches-upcoming take date as YYYYMMDD. Leave it off for today in America/New_York.

One match

The match id from that list is matchId. The lineup, events, stats, preview, head-to-head, and betting prices all take that id.

A name

GET /api/v1/football/search requires search, at least two characters. A club profile then takes teamId.

Shortened examples

Sample responses

Shortened examples of a live match, a club, a lineup, an event, a player, and a search. The minute and the score are the ones in the sample.

Common questions

Short answers about dates, ids, and what this feed does not do.

JSON for a list of matches, one match, a club, or a player. The lineup and the events are further calls on the same matchId.

One call, match-betting, returns the prices attached to a match. It is a read of that feed. It does not place a bet.

No. The live-match sample keeps the minute and the score from the example, so you can see the fields.

YYYYMMDD, with no dashes. That is different from the baseball and hockey dates, which use YYYY-MM-DD.

Search by name, then pass the teamId from that response to /api/v1/football/team. The squad is /api/v1/football/team-squad.

* Overage stays off until you turn it on in Billing, and only for Stripe card subscriptions. Usage is counted in monthly periods that start on your billing day, yearly plans included. Requests past the included limit are billed after the period ends, up to the cap. If you switch plans during a period, the limit and overage rate of the plan you are on when that period ends apply to the whole period.

Why SteadyAPI

The list, then the match

Live and upcoming calls return match ids. Lineups and events take that id.

List, then match

Live and upcoming calls return match ids. The lineup, events, and stats take that id.

Search when you have a name

A club or player name goes through search. The id in that response is what the profile calls expect.

The heavy splits are optional

Team and player splits are there when a table needs them. A scoreboard does not.

Your monthly plan

A live list and a lineup count separately against the plan on the account.
