A seller page is the storefront behind a product listing: the business name, the address, the phone, and the rating shoppers see before they buy from that seller.

SteadyAPI returns that public profile for one Amazon seller id. The sample seller is MemoryWhiz, and the rating fields are numbers you can sort and filter on.

To access this endpoint, you must obtain an API key: Get your API key

The Endpoint

GET /v1/amazon/seller/profile looks up one seller. seller_id is required and is uppercased before the request. country defaults to US.

The sample seller id is A02211013Q5HP3OMSZC7W. The profile name is MemoryWhiz, business_name is Alast Corporation, rating is the number 4.9, and ratings_total is 51420. review_summary.thirty_days is rating 5 and count 117.

Method: GET

Endpoint: https://api.steadyapi.com/v1/amazon/seller/profile

Documentation: Amazon seller profile

Parameters

  • seller_id: The Amazon seller id, required, up to 50 characters. The sample is A02211013Q5HP3OMSZC7W. The method uppercases the value, so a lowercase copy of the same id is stored in meta.seller_id as the uppercase form. This id is also the one you pass to seller products.
  • country: Optional marketplace country code. Leave it out and the request uses US. The sample meta country is US, and meta.marketplace is https://amazon.com.

Python Example

The script loads the MemoryWhiz profile and prints the business name, the lifetime rating, and the thirty-day review count. Every call uses a Bearer token from your SteadyAPI dashboard. Authentication is covered in the request docs.

import requests

def get_seller_profile(seller_id, api_key, country="US"):
    url = "https://api.steadyapi.com/v1/amazon/seller/profile"
    headers = {"Authorization": f"Bearer {api_key}"}
    params = {"seller_id": seller_id, "country": country}

    response = requests.get(url, headers=headers, params=params)
    response.raise_for_status()
    payload = response.json()

    if payload.get("success") is False:
        print(payload.get("message"))
        return

    body = payload.get("body") or {}
    thirty = (body.get("review_summary") or {}).get("thirty_days") or {}
    print(body.get("name"), body.get("business_name"))
    print(f"Rating {body.get('rating')} from {body.get('ratings_total')} ratings")
    print(f"Last 30 days: {thirty.get('rating')} ({thirty.get('count')} ratings)")

get_seller_profile("A02211013Q5HP3OMSZC7W", "YOUR_API_KEY")

Understanding the Response

A successful response puts the profile on body. rating and ratings_total come from the lifetime summary. review_summary breaks the same idea into windows. In the sample, thirty days is a perfect 5 across 117 ratings, while the lifetime rating is 4.9 across 51,420 ratings.

{
  "name": "MemoryWhiz",
  "business_name": "Alast Corporation",
  "business_address": "20651 GOLDEN SPRINGS DRIVE, Suite 111, Walnut, CA, 91789, US",
  "phone": "909-610-9170",
  "rating": 4.9,
  "ratings_total": 51420,
  "review_summary": {
    "thirty_days": { "rating": 5, "count": 117 }
  }
}

meta.seller_id echoes the uppercased id A02211013Q5HP3OMSZC7W and meta.country is US. If the request could not be completed, success is false and there is no body to read.

Key Fields

  • name and business_name: name is the storefront name, MemoryWhiz. business_name is the legal name on the profile, Alast Corporation. The sample address is 20651 Golden Springs Drive, Suite 111, Walnut, CA, 91789, US, and the phone is 909-610-9170.
  • rating and ratings_total: Lifetime figures, both numbers. Here rating is 4.9 and ratings_total is 51420. The same lifetime pair is what the parser copies out of review_summary.lifetime.
  • review_summary.thirty_days: A short window with rating and count. The sample rating is the number 5 and the count is 117. The other windows on the profile are ninety_days, twelve_months, and lifetime.
  • store_link: The seller’s Amazon storefront URL. For this id it includes me=A02211013Q5HP3OMSZC7W. Pass that same id to GET /v1/amazon/seller/products when you want the listings, not the profile.

Practical Use Cases

Checking a seller before you list their catalog

Call this endpoint with A02211013Q5HP3OMSZC7W. Read rating 4.9 and ratings_total 51420, and compare them with review_summary.thirty_days, which is 5 from 117 ratings. Store business_name Alast Corporation next to the seller id, then request seller products with that same id.

Normalizing seller ids from product pages

Product URLs sometimes carry the seller id in mixed case. Send it as seller_id anyway. The method uppercases it, and meta.seller_id comes back as A02211013Q5HP3OMSZC7W for this seller. Use that uppercase value as the key when you join the profile to the product list.
